Successful Events
Youth Day
16 June 2020
The Infinity Foundation was able to feed 800 people on Youth Day. It was a rainy, cold day with the Country in full lockdown; unfortunately, very few oganisations were able to go and feed orphanges and kids on the street.
Placing focus on providing warm meals to the kids on the street, our charity drive attracted the attention of the SABC2 Crew and we were fortunate enough to be featured on their Prime Time Leisure and Travel Documentary.
Our main achievement that day was giving all those kids a sense of hope they could carry with them beyond this special day.
Mandela Day
18 July 2020
Mandela Day, such a special day! On this day we celebrate not only the birthday of one of the Directors of our organisation, but the the Father of the Nation – President Nelson Mandela.
Together with the assistance of a few other organisations we were able to provide soup to more than 300 000 people. In preparation of this day our team had cooked for 4 days and 4 nights during which each volunteer, young or old, served about 67 hours each.
In addtion to this, we continued to support kids and the homeless by supplying hundreds of blankets, stationery and warm meals in the midst of Winter.
This drive would not have been such a success if it weren’t for the joint effort from all Religious Organisations, Food Industries and the general public who were involved; a truly special day!
Women's Day
9 August 2020
Our chosen theme for this year’s Women’s Day was ‘Support A Girl Child’.
With the country coming out of the first wave of the Pandemic with more than 3 million who had lost their jobs; leaving 30% unemployed.
In association with our chosen theme, we used this time seeking assistance for Women by providing them with Sanitary Packs. Together with a few women shelters we had approached and the company of Miss SA 2019, Sasha-Lee Olivier at the Frida Hartley Women Shelter, we were able to distribute more than 5000 Sanitary and Hygiene Packs throughout the country.
Heritage Day
24 September 2020
In celebration of Heritage Day we decided to take a different approach by visiting the Johannesburg Blind Society for which we arranged a full wellness day, hosted by several Medical Professionals who voluntarily performed Health checks on all patrons.
In addition to this, we treated each patron several gifts along with some music, entertainment meals and spa treatments. The day was ended off with the Jerusalema Challenge.
This approach was so successful that we have decided to make it a an annual event.
This entire wellness day was valued at R150 000 fully funded by the Foundation.
